Winemaker

In 2019 Jonathan resigned his role as a barely adequate utility-grade chef of a second-rate venue. The spectral hand of fate brought him to the gateway of Bent Road Winery and the mentorship of the winemaker Glen Robert. It was here that Jonathan began crafting his own wine saga in 2023. Invoking the ancient rituals of natural fermentation, he became a dark supplicant at the twin altars of extended skin contact and low intervention. The creations here are imbued with the essence of the land’s whispered secrets, untamed spiritual forces from beyond.

Jonson Ree–found himself adrift after years of telecommuting through the cursed years of 2019-2021. Seeking a return to the earth, he turned his gaze to the vineyard, where it is whispered that winemaking truly begins. With a meticulous hand and a nascent understanding of the land’s rhythms, Jonson is the quiet architect behind the magic that blooms in the soil. He is the specter of the haunted vineyard, tending to each vine with care, coaxing out the untold mysteries that will one day flow from bottle to glass.

Giovanni Cee–our all-rounder wine dog: the unsung spirit of the winery. Whether it is the daily rituals of upkeep or chasing off mischievous vineyard sprites, Gio is the steward of solutions. If it can be done, Gio will get after it with an awful lot of noise, even more moxie, and a dash of absurdity. No job too small, no challenge too great: with Gio everything flows, just like the wine.
